I have created my blog to be exclusively about financial matters, and my journey out of debt. Today, if you will allow, I am deviating from that.
Last week while in Ada, Oklahoma at my Army Reserve unit, all the news was about these two escapees who had walked away from a minimum security prison about twenty-five miles away from Ada. The two suspects walked about?three miles before breaking into a home, tying up an older man and stealing his truck.
Sunday I traveled to Ft. McCoy, Wisconsin to attend a unit mobilization officer course. Upon turning the news on Monday morning, the top story here was about two escapees being captured after a police pursuit through the boundaries of Ft. McCoy on I-90. The chase began in Sparta, Wisconsin, the western edge of Ft. McCoy and ended north of Tomah, Wisconsin, the eastern edge of Ft. McCoy.
I’m not sure this story made it to the national news, but it was on America’s Most Wanted, read about it here. I wonder how close I was to ever coming in contact with these two. I had their mug shots burnt in my memory. I know we had to have taken the same route, I just wonder how far apart we were in time.
Tomorrow I will be back on topic; this was just too crazy of a coincidence to not tell everyone about.

that is crazy!
