It is finally go time…I am ready to let the cat out of the bag. The business I have been working on since mid-March is called Professional Law Enforcement. The venture will focus on providing high quality training to Missouri law enforcement officers; particularly those from smaller agencies that are unable to conduct their own in house training.
The web site is prolawenforcement.com; it is a little short on content right now, but that will change in the days and weeks to come. I have been at annual training in Salina, Kansas, for the past week and Amy has been in Tennessee making it a little difficult to build a web site, but we did it.
I sent out 152 flyers earlier today for a Racial Profiling class in July. By Monday I have six more classes to add to my calendar and get advertised…all while molding my 24 candidates to become officers in the United States Army. Thankfully the TAC officers will be occupying most of their time until we (instructors) pick back up on Monday ![]()

Joel, congratulations on your new company and best of luck. I gave your site just a quick glance and found one typo you’ll want to fix. In a couple sections, your email/contact info was listed as “joel at joelmaxwell dot com” when, of course, it should be written as joel @ joelmaxwell.com. I thought you’d want to have this fixed asap.

I think that was done to avoid spambots

Yep; all about the spam. Can’t leave a hyperlink to your email on a web site these days…what has this world come to

Really? Every Web site that I go to always shows the link to their email.

Most I know of have gone to contact forums that forward to the persons email. Maybe I just need better spam protection

Wish I would have known you were in Salina - I work at the Regional Training Center in Salina. I would have bought you coffee. Congrats and good luck with your new venture!

I’m still here for one more day; let me know where your office is and I will stop by. I’m at the regional training center instructing for the officer candidate school.

Well, that’s what I get for not checking in here more often. Hope you made it home okay. Let me know if you ever have more training here.

I wish you the best of luck, Joel. Take care of yourself when you’re on the road!!
It will go against your grain to do this, but reserve the profit portion of the first few months of revenue instead of putting it toward debt. That will give you a fund to deal with travel, etc, because you could get in a bind as bookings pick up. I’m rooting for you, Amy and the kids!

Thanks Maxed Out!
TSgt P, we will have to hook up next time I’m in Salina.
