More in Afghanistan

Filed under: Mil Blog — Joel @ 11:27 pm

The military has launched an investigation to determine if the Soldiers on the ground Sunday were not given intelligence about the imminent attack although the intelligence existed. Read this story. They keep mentioning that it was in an area that borders Pakistan which is true…the Kunar province does border Pakistan; however, this and much of the action in the east is taking place about 20 to 30 kilometers from Pakistan.

I am glad to finally see Afghanistan getting the attention…long overdue!

  1. now that Iraq seems a little more “secure” I think it would be prudent to take the Iraqi pm’s insistent offer that we leave sooner rather than later and focus a “surge” in Afghanistan the same way we did in Iraq and beat down the Taliban once and for all.
I just hope and pray we don’t get a see-saw action going between the two theaters.

  2. I’m with you…it even seems both sides of the aisle favor this, so hopefully it will happen.
