Today a new journey began. With 17 students in two classes, Professional Law Enforcement is off the ground. Having a break even point of 5, I’m relatively pleased with the day. Additionally, I gained several leads on contracting.
I am still looking forward to the opportunity to focus on marketing next week along with adding 8 weeks of training to my calendar. I will also be developing additional lesson plans and training topics in the coming weeks.
With much work ahead I feel good tonight knowing I’m on the right track. Stay tuned!

Yeaaaaa! I’m excited for you guys

Hi Joel,
Been following your site for a while now - that is great news about your successful start.
Was it a very difficult descision to launch another business rather than go for a salaried position? What were some of your descision-making factors?
Do you think you can earn more with your training solutions than what you would get as a salary working for someone else?
I am in the same boat right now!

Thanks guys!!
James; It was a difficult decision and an easy decision at the same time. I was driving an hour and a half one way for a job I really didn’t enjoy or feel significant doing.
That said, I love being an instructor, but there is so much more to this than just being an instructor; see the book e-myth revisited and you can easily understand.
It has been a lot of 18 hour work days this past week and I am worn out; even though I made money this week I have to put every penny back into the business in order to market my next 8 weeks of training.
Basically it hasn’t been easy and at this point I’m not sure I will make more. I had to do something different or I would go crazy, and this has great potential.
